DisrespectThis picture is of a statue, taken inside the Duomo of Florence. Click on it and look closely at it.

I often appreciate graffiti in its various forms, in fact I came really close to buying Banksy’s coffee-table book just before we left for our trip.

However, I cannot understand what drives people to believe that defacing a priceless historical statue is acceptable behaviour.

When to draw the line?

I guess everybody’s got a different line and maybe it’s only society that decides where the big one is drawn.

Hi there, I agree with Chloe it was lovely to see Venice again in the sunshine. It’s so weird that since we got back from Venice I’ve seen Venice everywhere in ads, tv, films. Florence was one of my favourite places in Italy also so lovely to be reminded of it. I just checked your itinerary and was surprised to see your going to Sardinia. I’m going to be there with a friend from 8th November to 12th November - would be funny to bump into you! I would guess we’ll just miss you though if you’re taking your time through Italy. Have you been to Sardinia before? I have a Rough Guide and Map beside me as I write so if you need any info let me know.
Best Wishes to you both-looks like your having a great time.

Hi Fi. SQ really enjoyed Venice too and thinks it’s the most unusual place in Italy. She also enjoyed Sardinia last time she was there.

It’s starting to look like we’re going to change our itinerary and postpone our trip to Sardina — we’re running out of time on this trip (I have to get to a wedding in Ireland soon, and have already booked flights from Spain!), so will likely come back to it in the future.

In the meantime, have lots of fun there on your holiday!
