Tired of the unpredictable British weather that we’re having this summer, we’ve decided to postpone the tour of our glorious country until another year and instead run to the sun in Europe. We’ve updated our planned route map to reflect our route which will cover:
- North East France: The Champagne region.
- Switzerland
- Most of Italy, top to bottom
- Sicily
- Sardinia (and possibly Corsica)
- South coast of Franch
- East coast of Spain at super-speed (i.e. without seeing much) to get to…
- The family apartment in Los Alcazares, Mar Menor in the Murcia region.
The route should take us 3 months or so and will be a great test run for Yoko, our new camper van. Wish us luck!

Bonjour! If you happen to wonder into Provence whilst in the South of France, I can heartily recommend anywhere around Mormoiron or Vaison la Romaine. In fact, when we were in Mormoiron last week [we boarded the Chunnel to come home as you were, apparently, arriving in France] we bumped into an English couple staying in Vaison, where we stayed last year. They were camping, and were massively impressed with the campsite. I’ll attempt to find the name of the place for you, just in case. Enjoy the wine. And the food.
